Laine

It's so very cold
All these lightyears away
With nowhere important to go
Been meeting the ice queen
Now she's simply monochrome

She's not persistent
with her projection
So I'm floating here
I'm getting the cancer
But I still have my green lullabies
Make sure nobody wakes me
in these sleepless times

My body's turned a deadly pale
Where's home
The distance
The core is useless here
Burned through by the sun
Hiding in some foreign moon
Waiting to hopefully cool
trying to grasp what I can not become

Searching for the one queen
That I can believe 1
Among thousands of dying stars
My own private Sol
will live on for very long
But it is lightyears away

So tell me
What is the pleasure of spacetravels
Moving gracefully in-wards
Shrinking the universe
Only the lightyears
The distance seems real
I'm so fucking lonely

Left my dreams
Left my brother
For the ice queen
She's now only monochrome
Engraved in my soul

Give me back
The beauty of my core
If it is not possible among my humans
I am the alien searching for home
On the right track
That is non existant

Lightyears way and slowly dying
I loved you
For a thousand earthly years
I may be an alien
I may incompatible
At least out of sync

Been the toy of the ice queen
One more reason I'll never return
Although she's now just monochrome
The only presence
All these lightyears away
I've become a disturbance
in the carrier wave
